Charlotte Urquhart, CA, DIFA – Forensic Accountant and General Manager

A Chartered Accountant, Charlotte joined the firm in 2001.  Before the years of study required to become a Chartered Accountant, she had obtained an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, while a Rene Descartes Fellow at the University of Waterloo.

In 2005 Charlotte completed the graduate level program at the University of Toronto in Investigative and Forensic Accounting.  This is an intensive two year course of study, the only one approved by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants for this specialty.  Classmates included individuals from the white collar crime section of the RCMP, Canada Revenue Agency and other branches of government and of course, national accounting firms.  Her original research earning her diploma was IFA Involvement in Personal Injury Claims. 

Between 2003 and 2008 Charlotte attended to the general management of the agency and oversaw most of the investigations.  The re-organisation under  Urquhart Forensics recognizes the success of, and allows her to concentrate on, the Investigative and Forensic Accounting practice. 

While Charlotte is also a private investigator, as a Chartered Accountant her association with the agency compels us to meet the rigorous standards of a professional body, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.  She is member and contributes to several professional and industry groups.
